MESSAGE FROM THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Robin Tillotson

July 2009

Are you aware of the wonderful Wellness Program that we offer here at the Atlas Center?  We are blessed to have highly qualified, and more importantly, caring practioners from Rush University Hospital, who care about your health and overall well being.

Every Tuesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., you can find nurse Marcia Murphy, MS at Atlas performing blood pressure screenings, a weight loss support group, and she is available to meet with you in a one-on-one private consultation.  Additionally, she delivers a monthly Health Talk on a topic that will add to your quality of life.

The second Friday of every month from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. brings Kristin Gustashaw, MS, RD a licensed and highly knowledgeable Dietitian.  Kristin is able to meet with you to discuss eating plans and ways to increase your energy through proper nutrition.

Lastly, Erica Danos. PharmD, a Pharmacist, is also available on the First Thursday of every month.  You can depend on Erica to present an interesting program around medications, and she is available for private appointments.

You are in capable hands when you meet with Marcia, Kristin and Erica.  Come in today and enhance your health, and while you at it, visit one of our many fitness classes.  Enjoy your summer.

In Oneness,
Robin

Neighborhoods Alive With Seniors Tribute

I have met some wonderful people through my social networks, and one person that God sent to me is Pastor Peter Grasso with Terra Global Ministries International. I have never met him face to face, I have only communicated with him via one telephone conversation.

However, one thing is for sure, we apparently know each other in the Spirit. Once Brother Peter and I connected, he became interested in my work with the elderly. Because he has a heart for seniors, Brother Peter graciously offered to produced a You Tube Video in tribute to the staff members who diligently and tirelessly work with our seniors at the Atlas Senior Center in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to meeting Brother Peter, my prayer had been to make our center more visible to the public, including those who work with and serve seniors around the globe. Scripture says, “Before they call, I will answer”, and in His special way, God brought my dream to fruition through his servant Peter Grasso. Thank you so much, Peter!

Please immerse yourself in the spirit, the music and the love inherent in this video and remember –”Blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God (Deuteronomy 28:2).
