"JAZZ RAP"
I rap with substance
I create, educate, donate, stimulate and elevate the minds to design
I activate words into rhythms
That rhyme with time
Life can be a gring
But what I say is no Crime
My words come in nines
I was touched by the divine
I am genuine
I lay it on the line
I don't do it blind
I rap with substance
I spread history to the heart to eliminate the lead
From the ded head
I touch humanity to avert vanity
To prevent insanity
I make minds and souls whole and I keep them warm from the cold
Some people will say that I am bold
And some will say that I am always in control
I make them rotate, gyrate and gravitate to the spoken words
I spike the mike so that they can ride on my words like a bike
I rap in substance
I rap in substance
I rap in substance

"MY AFRICAN QUEEN"
(A poem for Leslie)
You are truly an
African queen
From the ancient
Nile with that
Beautiful smile,
I love your style, especially
Your profile
|
| |
|
|
When you walk in rhythm
You rhyme with time that
Simulate my mind.
Your beautiful spring summer eyes
Hypnotize and magnetize |
| |
My mind by your decision
You was touched by the
Creator from above in
Platonic love. You are sensuous.
You are the morning sun that rise
And set on the shores of my mind in the
Valley of serenity, for you have an affinity.
|
| |
|
| |
You create ecstasies in my
Dreams, you are beautiful
Memories of life that ward
Off strife, you cut into my heart
With love like a sharp knife.
|
| |
You never change you stay
The same, your name brings me fame.
You are the best, different from the rest.
Your attitudes are never rude. Your personality
Give light to reality. You are a beautiful
African queen the most beautiful woman
That I have ever seen,
You will always be in my dreams.

WHO AM I?
I am ancient, I was first on this earth,
And I cover the universe
Who am I?
I am older than the pyramids and the sphinxes
Who am I?
I am an African man, I am a black man,
I am a king and a Mandingo warrior. I am a mind that can design,
Develop, implement goals and objectives with a purpose.
Who am I?
I'm a husband, a father, a grandfather
Who am I?
I am a poet, a historian, a story teller and a Griot
Who am I?
Experiences, knowledge and wisdom
Who am I?
I'm the past, present and future.
Who am I?
I am spirituality, respect, discipline, patience, responsibility, trust
Morality, peace, parity and a child for God
A child of God,
A child of God,
And I am thankful for touching humanity with humility.
